Griffin, Emerson, Schulenberg garner All-CIF attention

Santa Barbara High will be led by senior Tess Emerson at this year's Tournament of Champions.

Santa Barbara High's Rebecca Griffin and Tess Emerson were named All-CIF on Monday, landing on Division III-A's second team. Laguna Blanca's Amanda Schulenberg made it on Division VI-AA's first team.Channel League champion Buena placed two players on All-CIF teams. Dons upset Cougars on last-second free throw

Jackie Kerns hit a free throw with 0.7 seconds remaining on Thursday night to lift the Santa Barbara girls basketball team to a giant-killing win at Ventura, 52-51."I'm trying to figure out how we won... Ramirez’s career-high not enough for Dons
