WICHITA — The Santa Barbara Foresters will play for their third Mational Baseball Congress World Series championship in six years on Saturday at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium. Their opponent will be the Kenai (AK) Oilers, with first pitch set for 4 p.m. PDT. WICHITA — All summer long the Santa Barbara Foresters have been coming back from deficits to win ballgames. Foresters move a step closer in Wichita

WICHITA — Out of the 32 teams that entered this year's National Baseball Congress World Series, the Santa Barbara Foresters are the only squad to remain unbeaten.The Foresters trounced the San Diego Waves 7-0 in the winner's bracket final on Wednesday night at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium. Pitcher Jesse Meaux finds an interesting sleeping position as the bus rolls through Arizona.

WICHITA — Two nights, hundreds of cookies and thousands of laughs later, the Santa Barbara Foresters bus arrived in Wichita, KS, at about 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday for the National Baseball Congress World Series.It's strange, but no one seems to remember anything specific about the ride.
