Dockendorf wins butterfly title at Junior Olympics

Recent Dos Pueblos graduate Michelle Dockendorf won the 200 breaststroke at the Southern California Junior Olympics last week in a time of 2:34.44. The UCSB Athletics marketing crew certainly nailed this one.The Gauchos' video promotion of "Gunnar Shades" — plastic neon sunglasses named for loud-mouthed infielder Gunnar Terhune — has become a YouTube sensation with nearly 20,000 views in the past week. Dos Pueblos' Class of 2010 will be well represented in the collegiate ranks next season, as eight student-athletes signed National Letters of Intent on Monday at a signing ceremony held in Sovine Gym.Of the eight, five come from the volleyball team, which will be playing in the CIF Div.
