Chargers beat Dons, take City Championship

The Dos Pueblos girls soccer team scored five goals and allowed zero in two tournament games in Orange County, and will advance to the semifinals.The Chargers' first game resulted in a 4-0 rout of California.Megan Gee helped Dos Pueblos get off to a quick start with a goal in the third minute. Harris scores twice in Chargers victory

The Dos Pueblos girls soccer team defeated Notre Dame to win its first game at the Buena Tournament behind two goals from Brandie Harris.The senior striker took a pass from Natalie Klapp and put the Chargers ahead in the first half.In the second half, Megan Gee found Harris and she put the ball in the back of the net to secure a victory for Dos Pueblos.The Chargers (5-3-2) continue play in the Buena Tournament tomorrow against Oxnard.  … [Read more...]

The Dos Pueblos girls soccer team's game at Rio Mesa was scoreless for over an hour before two goals were scored in a short span of time and the game ended in a 1-1 draw.Dos Pueblos struggled to find a rhythym and was unable to generate offense for the majority of the game."We haven't really learned to play as a team yet," junior captain Jamie Benedetto said.
