Suzuki wins Santa Barbara Duathlon’s long course

 Ventura’s Shigy Suzuki, 51, won the overall title in the long course of Sunday’s Santa Barbara Duathlon, finishing the unique run-bike-run race in one hour, 33 minutes and 59 seconds.Santa Barbaran Lee Carter, 52, finished five minutes behind Suzuki as the runner-up. The top female finisher was 46-year-old Mariann Thomas of Carpinteria, who finished seventh overall in 1:47:01.The long course consists of a 5k run, a 30k bike and another 5k run.
