Warriors get rich with Washington’s golden goal

Junior midfielder Jameisha Washington scored in overtime to give the Westmont women's soccer a 1-0 win in Fullerton over Hope International. Brittney Scannell kicked a floating ball across the face of the goal to set up the score. Washington managed to free herself from two Royal defenders and head the ball in the net to score the golden goal. Western Trinity's Alicia Tesan ruined Westmont's women's soccer season-opener on Thursday, tucking in a late goal in the 85th minute to break a scoreless tie, ultimately sending the visitors to a 1-0 victory at Lovik Field."At the end of the game you get a late goal and it's hard to recover," pointed out newly appointed associate head coach Kristi Kiely.
