Chargers deliver for Lindsay Rose

Dos Pueblos' first-round CIF victory came with heavy hearts on Friday, as the Chargers defeated Royal 2-1 on the birthday of Lindsay Rose, who tragically passed away after a surfing accident in April of 2009. DP, Laguna Blanca girls kick off CIF playoffs at home

The Dos Pueblos girls soccer team tied the Channel League-leading Buena Bulldogs 1-1 at home on Thursday to take second place in league.The Chargers finished the season with a 6-1-1 league record while Buena edged out Dos Pueblos to finish in first with a 7-0-1 record.The Bulldogs handed Dos Pueblos its only league loss earlier in the season.Both teams will advance to the playoffs and will find out their brackets this weekend. … [Read more...]

Chargers beat Dons, take City Championship

Smith scores winner for DP

Rachel Smith scored the lone goal in Thursday's game at Ventura, and the Dos Pueblos High girls soccer team won 1-0.The goal came at the start of the second half when Weslea Gosnell-Greyson found Natalie Klapp. Klapp then hit Smith who put the ball in the back of the net to give the Chargers the lead.Gosnell-Greyson and fellow freshman Addy Willit were called up to varsity and made major contributions in the match.Dos Pueblos (5-1 Channel League) will play next at home on Tuesday … [Read more...]

Rachel Smith scored twice for Dos Pueblos on Tuesday, a big part of the Chargers' 3-1 Channel League victory over visiting Ventura.A first-half goal from Brandie Harris gave the Chargers a 1-0 lead.
