Nolan Soto pitched the final two innings of relief and Dylan Rohde had three hits to lead the Dos Pueblos baseball team a 6-5 win at Camarillo in the Easton Tournament.Soto earned the win. Dos Pueblos bounced back from a season-opening loss by beating St. Francis 7-5 on Saturday in an Easton Invitational baseball game at DP.Luke Loggins held St. Francis to won earned run over six innings and Ben York drove in two runs for the Chargers, who lost their opener to Chaminade 7-4. Former Dos Pueblos High baseball star James McCann signed a contract with the Detroit Tigers on Tuesday.McCann, who played collegiately at the University of Arkansas, was taken in the second round (76th pick overall) of the Major League Baseball Draft in June. The catcher was the Tigers’ first pick of the draft.In his junior season at Arkansas, McCann hit .306 with 14 doubles, a triple, six home runs and 38 RBIs in 61 games. Even after closing out the regular season on a two-game win streak, Dos Pueblos lost the second-place CIF playoff position in the Channel League to Buena.On Thursday, the Chargers finished out the regular season with a 9-3 win over San Marcos, tying them with Buena in league at 8-4.
