Zandona honored as Channel League MVP

Danny Zandona did it all for the Santa Barbara High baseball team.He went 10-1 with a 1.29 earned-run average as a pitcher, had a fielding percentage of .921 as a third baseman and batted .421.Zandona was recognized for his outstanding all-around play by being named the Most Valuable Player of the Channel League. Danny Zandona, Kees t'Sas and Spencer Fraker combined to score all of Santa Barbara's runs to help beat Ventura 6-3 in the Channel League champions' final regular-season game.Ventura scored the first two runs of the game in the third inning to take the lead 2-0.Santa Barbara quickly answered back in the bottom with a Fraker two-run home run to tie up the score.
