Nicole Bullemer is batting 1.000 in the Western State Conference.The freshman from SBCC shot a 3-over-par 75 on Monday in WSC No. 2 at the Santa Barbara Golf Club to capture medalist honors for the second time. Bullemer handles the heat, finishes third in tournament

It was another scorching day at the Cactus Classic women’s golf tournament in Palm Springs on Saturday and SBCC’s Nicole Bullemer beat the heat with a 4-over-par 76 that earned her third place in the 36-hole event.Her two-day total of 150 in 115-degree heat at Indian Canyons Resort was eight shots behind the winner, Cindy Yang of Mt. SBCC and its top women’s golfer, Nicole Bullemer, both recorded season bests Friday in the first round of the Cactus Classic in Palm Springs.SBCC shot 326 at Indian Canyons Resort, good for third place behind Mt. SBCC opened the women’s golf season on Sunday by shooting 355 in the South Coast Classic at Buenaventura GC in Ventura.The Vaqueros are in sixth place in the eight-team event after one round. Canyons beats out Bakersfield, Vaqueros

SBCC finished third in the third WSC women's golf tournament on Monday at par-73 Oakmont CC in Glendale and stayed in second place for the season. SBCC shot 332 on Saturday for a 656 total that gave them seventh place in the 36-hole Desert Classic women's golf tournament at Indian Canyon in Palm Springs.Kaitlyn Gatena, a freshman from Westlake, was the Vaqueros' low scorer with a 154 (75-79) in the two-day tourney. Freshman Andrew Perez fired rounds of 71 and 72 on Monday, guiding SBCC to its first Western State Conference men's golf title in coach Chuck Melendez's nine-year tenure.The Vaqueros topped the eight-team field in the first round at Cypress Ridge GC in Arroyo Grande with a 9-over-par 369.
