STANFORD — The Santa Barbara volleyball community and Dos Pueblos High are mourning the passing of Samantha “Sam” Wopat.Wopat, a two-time All-CIF volleyball player at Dos Pueblos and a member of the women’s volleyball team at Stanford, died Sunday at Stanford Hospital, the university announced Monday. Wopat receives All-America honorable mention

Former Dos Pueblos Charger Carly Wopat earned All-American honorable mention honors for Stanford when the American Volleyball Coaches Association announced its selections on Wednesday.Wopat's Stanford teammate and fellow sophomore Rachel Williams also earned the same honors.The selections bring Stanford's total AVCA All-America award count to 68 honors spread over 28 players. Carly Wopat named Pac-12 Offensive Player of Week
Former Dos Pueblos High star and Stanford sophomore Carly Wopat has been selected as the Pac-12 women’s volleyball Bank of the West Offensive Players of the Week for Sept. 26 – Oct. 2, Commissioner Larry Scott announced today.Wopat led Stanford to wins over Arizona State and Arizona last weekend. Former Santa Barbara High and SBCC football standout John Uribe led Lindenwood University to a huge victory in his debut at quarterback last Saturday.
