Niall Platt and Andrew Perez needed a three-hole playoff to decide Goleta's City Championship at Glen Annie Golf Club this weekend.Platt, a senior at Laguna Blanca, held off Perez, a former Santa Barbara Don, after both carded five-under 137s after two rounds.Current Don Shane Lebow finished in third place, scoring an even-par round on Sunday to come up one stroke short of the playoff. Perez, Wilson take Vaqueros to second title
Andrew Perez and Steve Wilson shot even-par 72s on a rainy Friday, leading SBCC to its second straight men's golf title in the Rio Hondo Invitational at California CC in the City of Industry. The Vaqueros topped the 23-team field with 374 strokes, two better than Palomar and Santiago Canyon.Wilson was 4-under par after four holes and had two eagles in his round.
