SBVC'S WEEKLY REPORT: On Saturday in Anaheim, The 14-Smack team had an outstanding day in Division 3 on a comeback mission to move back up to Division 2. Having a significant lead in most of the sets, the team managed to stay focused and outplay their opponent.The team beat Impact 14-Craig, LAVA-South 14-Casey, and Sports Shack 14-1 to take first in pool play. Competing in Division I, Santa Barbara Volley Club's 18-Smack team won its pool to go on and compete in the first two playoff rounds this weekend in Anaheim. It may be spring break for schools, but there’s no break for the teams from the Santa Barbara Volleyball Club. Teetering on relegation, the Santa Barbara Volleyball Club’s 15-Smack went 2-1 in the playoffs and finished 10th at a Southern California Volleyball Association tournament in San Diego to remain in Division 1.Santa Barbara went 1-2 in pool play, forcing it into the “death match” playoff round.
