Janelle Nguyen of the Santa Barbara Aquatics Club won the 200 butterfly at the Southern California Swimming Junior Olympics at Cal Lutheran in Thousand Oaks on Wednesday.Nguyen was time in 2:20.58. Eight members of the Santa Barbara Swim Club are headed to the Southern California Summer Sectional Championships in Clovis.The six-day meet starts Wednesday and runs through July 25.The swimmers qualified in a variety of events from the 50 to 1500 freestyle, and in every stroke.The team members competing are Walker Bell, Dasha Depew, Emily Swindle, Emro Williams, Ali Powell, Olivia Smith, Maelyn Adornetto and Madison Faulkner.
