The Santa Barbara Soccer Club’s Girls U-14 White team followed up its SBSC Summer Cup Championship with another tournament crown this past weekend, winning the Simi Valley Eclipse Labor Day Invitational.The team finished second in pool play and advanced with a total of four points after a 1-1 tie with the Eagles and a 0-2 loss to the host team, Eclipse. The Santa Barbara Soccer Club’s Girls Under 14 White team defended its home turf by winning the Summer Cup Tournament this past weekend.  One of two tournaments the Santa Barbara Soccer Club hosts each year, the Summer Cup had almost 200 teams competing on various fields all over the Santa Barbara and Goleta area. The team won its pool on Saturday with a scoreless tie against the Central Coast Condors and a 1-0 victory over Conejo Valley United. The Santa Barbara Soccer Club’s Boys ’93 White team had their unbeaten streak come to an abrupt end this past weekend at the US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup National Finals in Raleigh, North Carolina. The Pegasus Cup belongs to Real California's U10 girls soccer team after an epic championship game finally ended in victory after a nine-round shoot out. California found itself in a 2-0 hole at halftime against West Coast FC, yet was able to claw back in the second half to tie the match at 2-2. Soccer Club’s U-15 squad brings home President’s Cup

After winning the State Cup in San Bernardino in May, the Santa Barbara Soccer Club Boys U15 team dominated the competition in Pasco, Wash., last weekend to win the President’s Cup western regional tournament and qualify for the National Tournament, to be held in Raleigh, North Carolina, July 16-19. The team gave up only one goal and scored 22 in four games against teams from Washington and Oregon. The Santa Barbara Soccer Club Girls U13 White team won the George Mitton Memorial Tournament in Huntington Beach over the weekend. The team was undefeated in pool play, shutting out the opponents in each of their three games by scores of 3-0, 3-0, and 1-0.  The championship game was a hard fought battle where, after regulation and overtime, the teams were tied 1-1 and proceeded to penalty kicks. Cyclones twirl through Carpinteria Beach Cup

The Santa Barbara Cyclones, an AYSO Girls U12 All-Star team, won the Carpinteria Beach Cup last weekend, beating North Valley 4-0 in the finals. The Cyclones didn't allow any goals during the tournament and put 14 goals into the net of their opponents.This is the third weekend in a row of winning tournaments for the Cyclones. The Santa Barbara Riptide, an AYSO U10 boys all-star soccer team, came in first place in its flight at the Pot O' Gold Tournament in Thousand Oaks last weekend, March 21 and 22. The Riptide defeated Beverly Hills and Castaic, both by a score of 6-0, before playing to a 1-1 tie against Pacific Palisades in pool play.
