Haile Rios retired all 15 batters for a perfect game in a club softball tournament.

Santa Barbara youth softball player Hailee Rios tossed a perfect game in a club tournament last Sunday.Rios, pitching for the Camarillo VC Venom ’99, threw an 8-0 victory against Rip-It of La Crescenta. She struck out eight while retiring all 15 batters in the five-inning game.VC Venom scored all eight runs in the fourth inning. SBVC players stay busy during break from school

It may be spring break for schools, but there’s no break for the teams from the Santa Barbara Volleyball Club. UCSB hosting free girls lacrosse clinic for beginners on Friday

The UCSB women's lacrosse program and the Santa Barbara Lacrosse Association (SBLA) are offering a free youth girls lacrosse try-it clinic on Friday, March 30th.The session is 4:00 to 5:30pm in the north endzone of UCSB Harder Stadium and is for girls ages 8 and up. SBVC 18-Smack fall short in Junior Nationals qualifier

The 75th annual Easter Relays Youth Track Meet at SBCC's La Playa Stadium has been postponed by rain. Teetering on relegation, the Santa Barbara Volleyball Club’s 15-Smack went 2-1 in the playoffs and finished 10th at a Southern California Volleyball Association tournament in San Diego to remain in Division 1.Santa Barbara went 1-2 in pool play, forcing it into the “death match” playoff round.
