The UCSB women’s volleyball team swept Big West Conference opponent Cal State Northridge on Saturday evening in the Thunderdome. The Gauchos posted 25-21, 25-12, 25-22 set scores on their way to the victory. With the win, UCSB improves to 9-11 on the season and 5-4 in Big West play. Revamped Warrior squad pushes No. 12 Vanguard
The return to the lineup of a number of Westmont players helped the Warriors put a scare into #12 Vanguard (12-5, 7-5 GSAC) at Murchison Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon. Westmont (9-14, 3-9) served notice of their healthier roster by winning the first set 25-15. UCSB bounced back from its home-opening loss to Pacific on Friday evening with a three-set sweep over Big West-foe UC Davis on Saturday night at the Thunderdome. The UCSB women’s volleyball team returned to the Thunderdome for the first time in 2008 on Friday evening and gave its home fans plenty to cheer about.
