Majority of Vaqueros make All-WSC teams

SBCC placed 11 players on the All-Western State Conference tennis teams -- six women and five men. Both Vaquero squads finished second in the WSC with the men going 6-2 and the women 8-2.Freshman Nikolay Ivanov of Belgium was a first-team All-WSC men's choice in both singles and doubles. SBCC’s Nikolay Ivanov and Regis Fastrez rallied to win their opening match at the State Men’s Tennis Championships on Friday in Newport Beach before dropping their quarterfinal match.Ivanov, a freshman from Bulgaria, and Fastrez, a first-year player from Belgium, were the No. 2 seed from the South in the 16-team draw.
