Dos Pueblos distance runner Addi Zerrenner headlined the Santa Barbara County Track & Field Championships on Saturday by setting two meet records at Carpinteria Valley Memorial Stadium.Zerrenner shattered the record in the 3200 meter by 11 seconds with a new standard of 10:44.18. Lake wins 400 hurdles in WSC Prelims

SBCC freshman Tristan Lake won his fifth 400 hurdles race of the year on Friday, qualifying first in the WSC Track & Field Prelims at La Playa Stadium.Lake captured his heat in the best time of the day, 54.06. The Vaqueros had six men and five women runners qualify for the WSC Championships on Friday at Moorpark College.The prelims featured more than 600 athletes from 12 schools.Half of the field event finals were held on Friday. Dons fall at Ventura

The Santa Barbara High track team struggled after traveling down to Ventura for a Channel League dual meet.The boys team lost 104.5-22.5 and the girls team was defeated 121-6.Highlights for the Dons in the boys meet included a victory in the 4x100 relay. Dos Pueblos' boys track & field team edged Buena on Thursday by a single point while the girls team won by a wider margin at 93-37.The boys meet was scored 64-63 in Dos Pueblos' favor.A chunk of the Charger boys' points came in the 100 meters, which was swept by Jordan Degraffinreid (11.69), John Norris (12.03) and LeShon Bell (12.04). Warriors set three school records in Fresno

Three new school records were established as Westmont Track and Field competed in a tri-meet at Fresno Pacific on Friday. Westmont women took second place with 110 points. Fresno Pacific was first with 135 points while Biola scored 105 points. Santa Barbara High's Gavin Koehn finished seventh in the decathlon at the Arcadia Invitational on Friday, earning a medal.The meet is considered to be one of the most competive in the nation, and Koehn rose to the occasion.
