SBCC's Erika Schaeffer made a smashing debut in the 3000m steeplechase on Saturday at the Cal State Northridge Invitational, posting the third-fastest time in school history. Nearly 2,000 athletes made for a busy day at the Ventura Invitational Track Meet on Saturday, and Santa Barbara and San Marcos each got a handful of highlight performances.Shane Rowen won the boys triple jump for San Marcos with a mark of 43 feet, 1.75 inches while JP Dodson was third in the 400-meters with a time of 53.2 seconds.
