SBCC's Zoe Davis took eighth in the women's shot put at the 59th California State Championships on Saturday with a throw of 39-4 1/2 inches at Cerritos College in Norwalk. It was the third-best mark in school history for the freshman, who holds the school record at 39-9 3/4.In the men's 1500, Matt Bailey was ninth in a time of 3:57.68. Gaucho women lose Big West track title by 1/2 point

IRVINE, Calif.--The UCSB women's track and field team put up a hard-faught weekend of competition and came extremely close to winning their first Conference team title in several decades. UCSB track team pulls together Big West crown

IRVINE -- Against all odds, the UCSB men's track and field team rallied together to win their first Big West Championship in over 40 years.But in a sport that often touts individual victories, this weekend was truly a team effort, an effort that in the end has made all the difference. Kristin Hempy improved her heptathlon score by 53 points while competing at the Claremont Classic IX Heptathlon on Thursday and Friday.Hempy entered the competition with the thirteenth highest score recorded in the NAIA this season and as of Saturday morning, moved up to number 11. SBCC’s Instebo, Davis qualify for State Championships

Cecilia Instebo and Zoe Davis of SBCC both placed seventh on Saturday in the Southern Cal Track & Field Finals at San Diego Mesa to earn spots in the State Championships.Instebo lowered her PR in the 3000 Steeplechase by 14 seconds with an 11:34 clocking. Davis threw the shot put 11.94 meters for her seventh-place finish. Warriors bring in five titles at GSAC Championships

Five Warriors won GSAC Championship crowns as Westmont Men's and Women's Track each finished third at the GSAC Track and Field Championships held on Friday and Saturday in Azusa.The finish is the highest for the men since 2006 and for the women since 1999. Lake earns WSC title in 400 hurdles

It was a banner day for the SBCC track team as personal bests abounded on Friday in the WSC Track & Field Championships at Moorpark College.Freshman Tristan Lake captured the 400 hurdles title in 53.69 seconds, the No. 2 mark in school history. He missed the school record by three-tenths of a second.
