The Dos Pueblos boys cross country team finished fourth in its heat at CIF prelims and qualified for the CIF finals. Both Westmont teams headed to cross country Nationals
The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics has announced the field for the National Cross Country Championships and both Westmont men's and women's teams will compete in the event as at-large teams. The women's team is ranked at number 12 in the country while the men's team is ranked number 18.The championship races will take place on Saturday, November 19 at Fort Vancouver National Historic Site in Vancouver, Washington. Westmont teams place 3rd at GSAC Championships
Westmont men's and women's cross country teams each finished third at the 2011 Golden State Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships on Saturday. The races were held at Woodward Park in Fresno.On the women's side, the Warriors tallied 87 points, 13 points behind Biola who claimed second place. Azusa Pacific claimed the GSAC Championships, tallying just 20 points. Bishop Diego’s Charlie Dentzel capped a perfect league season by winning the individual boys title and Carpinteria swept the team crowns at the Frontier League cross country championships in windy and hot Malibu on Wednesday.Dentzel ran 18:03 on a hilly 5-kilometer course. Cate teams qualify for CIF cross country prelims
Cate’s girls finished second and the boys took third at the Condor League Cross Country Championships at Midland in Los Olivos on Wednesday.Thacher swept the team titles.Senior co-captain Adrian Walsh led the Cate girls with a strong sixth-place finish, covering the 3-mile course in 20:57 on a hot day.
