Warriors’ starting five too tough for Sun Birds

All five Westmont starters scored in double digits on Tuesday, leading the Warriors to an 86-66 GSAC victory over Fresno Pacific in Murchinson Gym.Katie Kittle recorded a team-high 21 points on 9-for-15 field goal attempts. Tugce Canitez posted a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Westmont's men's basketball team, ranked at number eight in the NAIA, lost by a score of 58-53 to The Master's College (17-9, 9-6 GSAC) in a Golden State Athletic Conference game on Tuesday night. Hope International (11-10, 4-10 GSAC) has become the wild card this season in the Golden State Athletic Conference. Preston Branson's 22 points gave the junior guard more than 1,000 for his career and helped ninth-ranked Westmont to a 84-61 Golden State Athletic Conference win over the Eagles of Biola (17-8, 7-6 GSAC).
