Three Westmont players earn All-American honors

Half of Westmont's starters have been named 2012 NAIA Men's Tennis All-Americans. Senior Bryan Cox of Alamo, California was named to the first team. Tim Goranson of Falkenberg, Sweden and Rodrigo Schaefer of Florianopolis, Brazil were placed on the second team. She wasn’t having her best day of throwing, but Dos Pueblos sophomore Stamatia Scarvelis kept her composure and uncorked a mark of 45-3 to win the Division 2 shot put title at the CIF Divisional Track and Field Championships on Saturday at Mt. Royals relay team takes 7th in Cerritos

The San Marcos girls 4x400 meter relay team took seventh place at the CIF Division 3 Finals at Cerritos College.The team consisted of Jill Fisher, Emily Allen, Annie Thwing and Kayling Koopmans. SBCC's Zoe Davis took eighth in the women's shot put at the 59th California State Championships on Saturday with a throw of 39-4 1/2 inches at Cerritos College in Norwalk. It was the third-best mark in school history for the freshman, who holds the school record at 39-9 3/4.In the men's 1500, Matt Bailey was ninth in a time of 3:57.68.
