Kristen Witchey, a star defender for the Dos Pueblos girls soccer team, has signed on to continue her career with California Baptist, one of the top programs in the NAIA.That means she'll be back in town to face Westmont in Golden State Athletic Conference action next season. California Baptist's coach, Kristen St. Clair, was a 4-time NAIA All-American for Westmont. Dos Pueblos' girls soccer season ended at San Clemente on Friday as the Chargers fell 2-1 in the first round of the CIF Division-I playoffs to the two-time defending champions.San Clemente built a 2-0 lead at halftime but DP's Maria Solis was able to close the gap in the 51st minute with a goal off an assist from Rachel Smith. Annie Weis and Brennan Cusack made an even trade on Thursday, exchanging assists for goals in a 2-0 CIF Division-VI playoff victory over visiting La Puente.Weis scored first for the Rams in the seventeenth minute.
