Ema Boateng grew up in a home with no electricity and no running water in Ghana, but his intellect, determination and soccer ability offered him a shot at a better life. Boateng named California Player of Year by Gatorade

Cate School's Ema Boateng has been named the Gatorade California Boys Soccer Player of the Year, it was announced on Tuesday.Boateng led the Rams to a Southern Section CIF championship in March. Cate dominates All-CIF selections
