Dons win final Channel League contest

Zach Torres' two-run single in the sixth inning was Santa Barbara High's biggest blow in a 6-2 Channel League win over Ventura on Thursday.Torres' single was one of only two hits for the Dons, who scored their runs using mostly walks and errors.Kenny Crawford pitched a complete game for Santa Barbara and improved to 5-2 on the season. Robarge wins Channel League, five local golfers qualify for CIF

Ventura's Gregory Robarge won the Channel League Individual Golf Tournament by shooting a 74 on Tuesday and a 69 on Wednesday at Soule Park in Ojai.Five local golfers placed in the top-eight at the tournament, which qualfies them for CIF as individuals.Santa Barbara's Jonathon Collins finished second after finishing the course in 72 strokes on Wednesday and 74 on Tuesday.
