Lacey Gonzalez scored on a fastbreak with 33 seconds left and Elizabeth Beebe made a key steal with 10 seconds to go, helping Providence Hall hold off Cate 36-32 in a non-league girl basketball game on Wednesday.A 3-pointer by Cate’s Lanea Pearson to within one point, 33-32. Laguna Blanca used good ball movement and unselfish play to shred Providence Hall’s zone-trap defense and romp to a 79-35 non-league boys basketball win Saturday morning at Westmont College.Five Owls scored in double figures, led by Brandon Bickett’s 21 points. Lizzy Beebe’s clutch shooting from the free-throw enabled Providence Hall to pull out a 36-35 girls basketball win at Thacher in Ojai on Wednesday.Beebe tied the game with a free throw with 12 seconds left.
