Cate School recorded three CIF consideration times and a number of personal bests at Wednesday’s meet with Santa Clara.Starting off the meet, Anna Lueck swam lowered her PR by nine seconds and gained a CIF consideration time in the 200 IM. A late three-goal lead almost dried up for Cate's lacrosse team on Wednesday, but the Rams were able to hold on for a 16-15 non-league win over Agoura.Deadlocked 7-7 at the break, Cate was able to put Agoura in a 16-13 hole with under four minutes to go in the game.Before it was over, the Chargers made a last-gasp effort and shrank Cate's lead to 16-15 with 2:13 remaining. Bishop Diego's Nicole Poindexter and Carpinteria's Kelsey Drain posted impressive scores in multiple events at the historic 2012 Russell Cup.Carpinteria hosted the Russell Cup for the 93rd consecutive year, making it the oldest track and field tournament in California.
