Bishop, Carp, DP learn CIF playoff opponents

CIF playoff matchups were announced on Sunday for football, with three area schools learning their first-round opponents on Friday night. All games start at 7:30 unless announced differently by the host school.Bishop Diego (9-1) and Carpinteria (7-3) will be at home in the first round, while Dos Pueblos (3-7) will travel. Bishop Diego put an exclamation point on its Frontier League football championship Saturday night with a dominating performance against visiting Villanova.The Cardinals, scored on seven straight possessions, rolled up 434 yards in total offense and their defense held the winless Wildcats to a mere 103 yards in 54-3 romp at La Playa Stadium.
