San Marcos fended off a late charge by Santa Barbara on Friday night and channeled the energy of a big-time performance from its home crowd to claim a 48-40 victory.The Royals took the lead for good in the second quarter and built a 12-point cushion in the fourth quarter. Freshman Emily Allen scored two second half goals on Thursday night against Santa Barbara to earn a 2-0 victory for the San Marcos girls soccer team.Just a few minutes into the game, an unfortunate collision left Danielle Smith, the Dons' sophomore center back, badly injured.
