Over four hundred competitors came out to Leadbetter Beach on Wednesday hoping for success and fun at Nite Moves. For the fifth week, the athletes came out to participate in the half-mile swim, the 5K run, or the “Aquathon” which combines both events.This week’s run showed a wide range of times. Fourth week of Nite Moves in the books

The 22nd season of the Nite Moves series at Leadbetter Beach is in full swing after the fourth weekly race on Wednesday evening. A total of 343 competitors took to the 5K run, half-mile swim or both this week, and race director Jake Clinton has been very pleased with the turnout thus far."Things are going great. Two sub-18s and a three-peat for Bell at Nite Moves

Two runners ran the 5K in under 18 minutes at the third Nite Moves race on Wednesday at Leadbetter Beach. Santa Barbara’s Ian Monsma, 22, won this week, by clocking in at 17:05 after a fourth place finish in last week’s race. More fast times turned in at second Nite Moves

Three runners ran the 5K in under 17 minutes at the second Nite Moves race on Wednesday at Leadbetter Beach. Santa Barbara's David Monico was the top runner, clocking in at 16:32, while Michael Smith (16:34) and John Plimpton (16:51), both of Goleta, were close behind. Nite Moves kicks off at Leadbetter Beach

Just over 400 athletes came out for the first Nite Moves race of the year on Wednesday night at Shoreline Park. The weekly run/swim event, now in its 22nd year, runs through September 1st and features live music, a beer garden and more for competitors.This week's winner was Matt Organista, a track star from SBCC.
