Royals Ridenour, Allen named Athletes of the Week
San Marcos garnered both Athlete of the Week honors on Monday.Basketball player Cade Ridenour was voted the male award winner and Emily Allen of the soccer team earned the female award. JT Aubrey's 3-pointer with 17 seconds to go in Saturday's Condor League game against Midland lifted Laguna Blanca past the Oaks in a 68-66 decision.The Owls hadn't led since the first quarter but used a healthy dose of 3-point shooting to finally regain the lead in the final seconds. San Marcos' boys basketball team fell into a nice rhythm on Wednesday night and Dos Pueblos could not keep up in a 55-40 Channel League decision at Sovine Gym.The Royals spread it around and found contributions from just about everywhere.
