DP Sluggers take second in Naval Base tourney

The Dos Pueblos Little League Sluggers, a team of players age 7 and under, finished as runners-up at the Naval Base Ventura County Junior Baseball Tournament.The Sluggers fell to the host Naval Base team in the final. The Santa Barbara Pony League Bronco All Stars sparkled in their debut, winning first place in the annual Memorial Day Tournament held at MacKenzie Park. In Saturday’s opener, the 12-and-under home team blitzed the visiting Danville Diablos 8-0.The All Stars continued their winning ways over the weekend to earn top seed for Monday’s championship match-up.
