In a dual meet that determined the Channel League Champions, the Dos Pueblos wrestling team was unable to get enough points to beat Ventura.Each team won seven matches, but the Cougars had more pins and took first place in league with a 34-27 win.In the match of the night, freshman Cameron Cox wrestled a student who had dropped weight to 113 pounds, and the Ventura wrestler took an early 3-0 lead. Nico Martinez turned the table on his Buena opponent and recorded a pin in the final match of the night, giving Dos Pueblos a 36-27 dual meet win over the Bulldogs and setting a showdown with Ventura for the Channel League title on Thursday.Dos Pueblos was clinging to a 30-27 lead going into the 145-pound bout.
