LA JOLLA – Senior Gillian Morgan posted a career-high tying five goals against No. 15 Cal State Bakersfield on Saturday, the opening day of the UC San Diego Triton Invitational. Sophomore Milos Golic was selected as a First Team All-American while senior Miles Price earned Honorable Mention All-American accolades the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches announced on Friday. Golic is the first Gaucho to earn First Team All-American honors since John Anderson did in 1985. The No. 17 UCSB women's water polo team opened the season with two wins and a loss at the Lancer Invite hosted by Cal Baptist on Saturday. Two UCSB men’s water polo players earned All-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation accolades it was announced Tuesday by the conference. Sophomore Milos Golic received First Team All-MPSF honors and senior Miles Price was named to the conference’s third team. Golic, a utility player, led UCSB with his 82 goals scored this season and was the MPSF leader for goals per game with an average of 3.04. MALIBU — Third-seeded Pepperdine defeated No. 6 seed UCSB 11-7 on Friday afternoon during the first round of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championship Tournament being held this weekend at the Waves' Raleigh Runnels Memorial Pool.
