San Marcos wants to celebrate its new all-weather track with a community mini-track meet and 5-kilometer run.The first Royal Races is scheduled for Saturday, Oct.15 at Warkentin Stadium.The festivities kick off at 10 a.m. with a 5-k run that will take runners through and around campus. Track events will follow. Entrants can compete in the 50- and 100-meter dashes, the 400, 800, mile, 100 hurdles, long jump and high jump.
