Caitlin Wallace and Kelsey Drain were double-winners for host Carpinteria at the Rincon Races and Field track meet on Friday, but the Warriors finished at the back of the pack in both the boys and girls competitions of the 4-team event.

Lightfoot throws heavy hammer for UCSB
The Gauchos returned to the track this weekend at the Ben Brown Invitational, hosted by Cal State Fullerton. The main portion of the meet was held Saturday afternoon, with hammer throws being contested on Thursday and a distance carnival being held Saturday night.

Organista, Edwards lead Vaqs at WSC Relays
Matt Organista and Garrett Edwards took second and third in the men’s 3000m on Friday in 9:14.49 and 9:18.86, respectively, to lead SBCC in the WSC Relays at Ventura College.
