Arianna and the Dos Pueblos Surf Team start their season this Sunday.

Arianna Wallis is a double-threat for other teams competing in the SSS as she competes in Short and Longboard divisions. She finished last year’s season off strong with a1st place in the highly contested Women’s Shortboard division in Ventura and looks to continue her winning ways in the 2011/12 season. Red tide lights up night waves for surfers

Surfers in Orange and San Diego Counties in California have seen a return of the annual Red Tide along their beaches.The Red Tide is actually a bloom of bioluminescent protists, called Lingulodinium polyedrum, that are a type of marine plankton. In an all-American semifinal, Santa Barbara's Conner Coffin lost a closely fought battle with Andrew Doheny of Newport Beach at the Oakley  ASP World Pro Junior Championship in  Bali on Monday.The heat started slow, but finished with a bang. Both surfers had similar scores and it came down to the last exchange. Santa Barbara’s Conner Coffin continued to tear it up on the waves of Bali at the ASP Oakley World Pro Junior on Friday in Indonesia.Coffin scored high eights (out of a possible 10 points) on two rides and easily beat Hawaii’s Tanner Hendrickson in the third round of the competition. Santa Barbara’s Conner Coffin posted the highest score and upset defending champion Jack Freestone of Australia in the first round of the Oakley World Pro Junior surfing championship in Canggu Bali, Indonesia on Tuesday.In a see-saw battle, Coffin won with 16.53 points.
