On Tuesday June 8th, Special Olympics Santa Barbara will recognize the athletes, volunteers and Law Enforcement Agencies that contribute to the spirit of the Summer Games held this weekend, June 12 & 13 at Cal State Long Beach. Sunday, April 11th marks the date of the 1st Annual Santa Barbara Special Olympics 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament Fundraiser, “Hoop it Up for Special Olympics,” at the UCSB Events Center. Twenty teams are registered and there is still time to register your team on Sunday at the Thunderdome starting at 9am. Games start at 9:45am. The 9th Annual Special Olympics Basketball Tournament took place on Sunday, April 26th at the UCSB Thunderdome with over 600 athletes, coaches and volunteers and spectators in attendance.
