UCSB defeats Long Beach State in Big West opener, second game to be completed Sunday
UC Santa Barbara (14-22, 1-0) won its Big West Conference opener against Long Beach State (12-19, 0-1), 5-4, on Saturday afternoon at Campus Diamond. SBCC had a rough day on Saturday at the Bakersfield Softball Classic, losing to Riverside 9-0 and Bakersfield 18-2. Taylor named the week’s best in Big West
Wet weather may have dampened portions of this past weekend's Gaucho Classic II, but it certainly did not dampen senior Allison Taylor's play in the tournament.
