La Salle's Allie Forillo overpowered Carpinteria's softball team in Thursday's CIF Div-VI quarterfinal, allowing a mere two hits to lead the Lancers into the semifinals with a 1-0 victory.Carpinteria starting pitcher Catalina Maldonado was almost as effective, only giving up an unearned run in the fourth inning. Dos Pueblos senior Krista Martony has accepted an offer to play softball at Oklahoma Christian University next season, where she will play at the NAIA Division-I level.Martony, a two-year varsity player that shared captain duties this season, batted .286 her senior year with four RBIs. The Dos Pueblos softball season came to a close on a windy, cold day in Lompoc, as the Chargers fell to host Cabrillo 5-1 in the first round of the playoffs on Thursday."We had every opportunity.
