Gilkeson helps U.S. to best-ever dragonboat finish
Annette Gilkeson has been a paddler for over a decade, but the Santa Barbaran found a new passion when she first stepped into a dragonboat four months ago.

Moreno blisters Nite Moves 5k
Santa Barbara’s Mark Moreno and Eric Forte went 1-2 in Nite Moves’ 5k run on Wednesday, each beating the 16-minute marker.
Moreno’s time of 15 minutes and 33 seconds was the fastest time of the Nite Moves season, in its 14th week out of 20. The previous low was Kevin Lunn’s 15:45 on May 27.
