Andrew Perez and the SBCC men's golf team continued their solid play on Sunday with a five-stroke victory in WSC No. 2 at Marshallia Ranch on Vandenberg AFB.Perez, a freshman from Santa Barbara High, fired a 3-under 69 to share medalist honors in the eight-team tourney with Matt Peich of Citrus. Freshman Andrew Perez fired a 4-under-par 68 and Matt Siporin added a 2-under 70 on Monday, leading SBCC to a seven-stroke victory over Citrus in the first WSC men's golf tournament of the year at par-72 Santa Maria CC.Perez, a former Santa Barbara High standout who's averaging 69.8, had four birdies and an eagle on a day when four Vaqueros shot par or better. Perez, Wilson take Vaqueros to second title

Andrew Perez and Steve Wilson shot even-par 72s on a rainy Friday, leading SBCC to its second straight men's golf title in the Rio Hondo Invitational at California CC in the City of Industry. The Vaqueros topped the 23-team field with 374 strokes, two better than Palomar and Santiago Canyon.Wilson was 4-under par after four holes and had two eagles in his round. SBCC Golf Classic approaching fast, set for March 16

Sign-ups are being accepted for the 16th annual SBCC Golf Classic, which will take place on Monday, March 16 at La Cumbre Country Club. The four-person scramble gets underway with registration at 10 a.m. and a shotgun start at 11:15 a.m. The entry fee is $900 per foursome or $940 after March 3. Andrew Perez opened his collegiate golf career with a bang on Tuesday, firing a 6-under 66 at Rio Bravo CC to capture the individual title and help SBCC claim the championship at the Bakersfield Invitational.Perez, a freshman who won the CIF Southern Section individual crown at Santa Barbara High last year, set a tournament course record with his 6-under-par 66.
