Anthony Linebaugh is the new football coach at San Marcos, according to published reports.The Sacramento Bee and Galt Herald reported Linebaugh resigned as head football coach at Liberty Ranch High in Galt to take a coaching and teaching job at San Marcos.San Marcos Athletic Director Abe Jahadhmy confirmed that Linebaugh is the Royals' new football coach. Santa Barbara's Tap Tap Gold Team won Big Picture Athletics 2012 Winter 7-on-7 Championship on Sunday by defeating Nipomo's Cowboys 20-7 in the Semi Final and topping Santa Maria's Riders in the Final 14-7.The tournament culminates a ten-week season in which teams on the central coast from Nipomo to Oxnard competed in a 7th and 8th grade passing league style format. Bishop Diego landed two players on the MaxPreps Division 4 All-State football team.Defensive lineman Thomas Renick was chosen to the first-team defense and running back Brandon Gonzalez was a second-team pick on the offense.The 6-1, 185-pound Renick recorded 85 tackles, 4.5 sacks and was a leader on a tough Cardinal defense.
