Thacher runs away with Condor League race No. 2

Thacher swept the second Condor League cross country on a hot Cate course.The Thacher girls won with 19 points, with Cate finishing in second place with 45 points.The Lady Rams were led by senior Adrian Walsh, who finished fifth in 21:36, her best time of the year on the challenging Cate layout. San Marcos girls capture team title at Central Park Invite

Rocio Pacheco and Kaitlyn Kuehn finished sixth and seventh, respectively, to lead the San Marcos girls cross country team to the Division 2 team title at the Central Park Invitational in Huntington BeachThe Royals scored 76 points to edge out El Dorado by two points.San Marcos boys finished third in the Division 2 boys race. Dos Pueblos' Addi Zerrenner was the top performer amongst local runners at the Clovis Invitational on Saturday, placing sixth in the Championship Race in Fresno.Zerrenner finished with a time of 18:17. Jeanson, Stuart hold up Warriors at Vanguard

Westmont's Jake Jeanson and Kate Stuart each placed fourth in their respective races at the Vanguard Cross Country Invitational on Saturday. Jeanson posted a time of 25:47 in the men's 8.000 meter race to lead the Warriors to a third place finish among 12 teams. Cecilia Instebo, a sophomore from Sweden, placed 11th and Kelly Mayer finished 15th on Friday afternoon, leading the SBCC women to a sixth-place finish in the WSC Preview cross country race at Shoreline Park.Instebo covered the 5K course that started at Leadbetter Beach in 21:29.
