Taylor’s 26 boosts Breakers to victory

If there was one player in need of a good game for the Santa Barbara Breakers, it was guard Tim Taylor.After scoring just four points last weekend on 1-13 shooting, including 0-7 from behind the arc, Taylor bounced back with a resounding 26 points. In their best offensive performance of the season, the Santa Barbara Breakers annihilated the High Desert Spartans 142-100 on Saturday in the Thunderhut at San Marcos High School.With the victory, the Breakers improve to 3-1 while the Spartans drop to 0-4.For Santa Barbara, eight of its nine players finished in double figures. The Santa Barbara Breakers suffered their first loss of the season Saturday night to the Long Beach Rockets 122-114. The Breakers drop to 2-1 while the Rockets improve to 3-1.Santa Barbara took control of the game first on a 12-0 run spurred by transition baskets and the play inside from Greg Somogyi. The Santa Barbara Breakers Professional Basketball team won two games on Saturday to take back the WCBL crown that denied them in 2010, with a resounding 130-108 semi-final win over the Venice Beach Ninja's and four hours later, defeated the West L.A.
