Dos Pueblos bested a field of 30 prep boys basketball teams last weekend at the Commotion by the Ocean Tournament held by Carpinteria High School.The Chargers swept through their pool impressively, going 4-0 with wins over Newbury Park, Pacifica, West Hills and Glendora. Gauchos pick up hoops transfer from Colorado

Despite finishing with their first-ever losing season at 5-6, the Santa Barbara Breakers basketball team earned numerous awards from the West Coast Basketball League, as the honors were announced this week.Bryce Sheldon was named 6th Man of the Year for his contributions off the bench, and former UCSB star James Powell was co-Rookie of the Year.
