Good pitching not enough for Westmont against Mustangs

Westmont is still in the playoff hunt, and this week's series against The Master's is an important one.

Despite solid pitching performances from junior left-handers Jacob Regalado and Gregg Pellici, Westmont Baseball suffered a 5-3 loss to The Master’s on Wednesday afternoon at Russ Carr Field. Colten Christianson hit a grand slam in the bottom of the eighth inning to help Westmont Baseball take the first of two games against #20 Fresno Pacific on Friday afternoon at Russ Carr Field. Rauch, Panthers pounce on Warriors

Brian Rauch allowed just three hits in a complete game 8-1 victory as non-conference opponent Chapman (20-4) defeated Westmont (10-20) on Thursday afternoon at Russ Carr Field. Westmont baseball cancels Wednesday game

Westmont Athletics was informed today that La Sierra University will not be sending their baseball team to Santa Barbara for Wednesday's scheduled game. La Sierra Athletic Director Javier Krumm informed Westmont Athletic Director Dave Odell that they do not have enough healthy players to field a team this week.The Warriors will play home games on Thursday and Friday. Despite outhitting the Hawks of San Diego Christian (4-18, 4-14 GSAC), Westmont Baseball (8-18, 4-12 GSAC) was swept in a Golden State Athletic Conference doubleheader played at Stars Field in Lakeside on Wednesday afternoon. It was great day for baseball at Russ Carr Field on Saturday as Westmont hosted conference-leading Vanguard in a Golden State Athletic Conference doubleheader.
