DP All-Stars were hits of the summer

The core of the Dos Pueblos district- and section-champion Junior All-Stars team won the state championship as 10 year olds in 2006.

Postseason run ends for GVSLL U-11 Stars

Size mattered in Goleta Valley South League's second game at the Little League 10-11 All-Star Divisional Tournament in Ontario on Sunday.Goleta Valley South first faced a 6-foot left-hander from La Verne who threw consistently 63 mph on the radar gun and then a 5-11 reliever who had a nasty curveball and a fastball that was clocked in the 57-59 mph range."Needless to say base hits were hard to come by," said coach Dan Feldhaus after a 10-1 loss. Rodriguez HR sparks DP comeback win

Goleta Valley South holds on for section title

Trey Klopstein ended the drama for the Goleta Valley South Little League 10-11 All-Stars Tuesday night, striking out the final Moorpark batter with the bases load to preserve a 10-8 win that  gave them the Section 1 championship.It is the second straight section title for Goleta Valley South. A Dos Pueblos rally fell short, and the local 11-12 All-Stars were eliminated by Moorpark, 6-4, in the Little League Section 1 Tournament on Monday night.Trailing 6-2 in the fifth inning, Dos Pueblos fought back on a RBI single by Dustin Demeter and a solo home run by John Wetzel.
