The Santa Barbara Riptide, a 12-and-under club team, capped a successful season and two years of fine play together by traveling to Cooperstown, New York, recently to compete with teams from across the nation.

GVSLL 9/10s claim District 63 title

The Goleta Valley South LL 9/10 All Star Team advanced to this weekend’s Section Tournament after winning the District 63 championship last weekend.
The team travels north to Nipomo for a Saturday matchup with District 65 champion at 1 p.m.
GVSLL went 7-0 in district play, including two wins over DPLL in the championship bracket.

Bronco All-Stars win Memorial Day Tourney

The Santa Barbara Pony League Bronco All Stars sparkled in their debut, winning first place in the annual Memorial Day Tournament held at MacKenzie Park. In Saturday’s opener, the 12-and-under home team blitzed the visiting Danville Diablos 8-0.
