COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Sophomore Sara Nicponski swam a personal best time in the 100 breaststroke on Friday, the second day of the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships, which are being hosted by Texas A&M. Nwaba sets school heptathlon record in first try

In the blink of an eye, Barbara Nwaba became the new UCSB record-holder in the heptathlon.After completing the long jump and javelin at the Sam Adams Combined, Nwaba needed to run 2:26.4 in the 800m to break the school record. MORAGA - No. 23 UCSB beat St. Mary's twice on Saturday at Louis Guisto Field, sweeping the doubleheader of a four-game weekend series. UCSB (11-4) scored 16 runs on the day to end a two-game drought and take a 2-1 series lead against the Gaels (10-6).Junior Joe Gardner (2-0) started the day off by allowing only one run in eight innings.
